Awakening Festival : June 18th

There’s a fascinating looking festival coming up June 18th with workshops and events including a wide array of speakers from many disciplines but all knit together by the desire to cultivate a more meaningful and healthy life. Their goal is to “explore healthy, sustainable, socially conscious and creative living, with the purpose of improving lives and strengthening communities.”

The Awakening Festival will be held in beautiful Hudson, Quebec and offers 14 speakers including:

Stephen Schettini - Author, Mindfulness Meditation Expert and Ex-Buddhist Monk

Stéphane Bensoussan, B.SC., M.A - Holistic Health & Educational Psychologist

Ellen Gunter – American Journalist, Spiritual Director and Author

  • 20 community organizations collaborating
  • Dozens of wellness, green and fair trade vendors in free outdoor marketplace
  • Kids’ program to encourage family participation with art, yoga, native wisdom, community leadership and nature
  • Music, art, dance and creative expression
  • Net proceeds of the event donated to The Westwood Bridge to Burundi Project – a youth-lead community initiative
