Eureka! It has been found. It was Bernie Simon and his great blog “The Careless Hand” which posted on this topic. Thanks for the initial post Bernie and thanks for your your continued blogging which is great to read – when my RSS reader doesn’t revolt!

On this Free Comic Book Day, I wanted to post a link to Comic Book Religion, who have a section of their website dedicated to “Buddhist superheroes, villans and other characters”.

Oh man..You tell me if Karmatron – The Most Powerful Kundalini Warrior in the Universe doesn’t sound like a crazy character.

With a whopping list of of over 18,000 characters, 121 magic-mala waving Buddhists can be found within the Comic Book Religion database. The shenpa-laden, collector in me wants to pick up every darn issue listed but I will work with this desire and focus on the comics I already have floating around the house. One such set of graphic novels is Osamu Tezuka’s “Buddha” series, which Shambhala SunSpace recently posted would be made into a film, released in 2010.

***I completely forget which Buddhablogger initally posted a link to this site as my RSS feed reader crapped out, so please send me a comment if you are the person cool enough to find this so I can add you back to my feedreader.

I do have all the best intentions to finish this lovely, geeky Buddhist book this weekend and will shun any zombie infiltrations to ensure that I stick to my guns. I’m loving what I’ve read so far and am looking so forward to reading about the author’s take on Princess Mononoke
