After recently discovering that the local rag is printed with soy-based inks, I made the switch to the online version. Although it isn’t as glamourous as curling up on the couch with a steaming hot cuppa and getting all inkyfingers… I’m really enjoying the change from print to pixels.

The CBC recently did a great feature on the end of traditional media.. Check it out.

Every night I’ve woken up at 3am with a leaky nose and days are spent honking and blowing my schnozz. I’ve hit a record repeated sneeze count of 8 and my eyes are blazing, itchy, red, little, leaking orbs.

Thankfully today is rainy.

For those of you who know me, you already know that I have multiple food allergies. I almost said “suffer from” food allergies – but that isn’t altogether accurate. Believe me, when I see choccy cake in my vicinity, I am sufferin’ but overall it’s not so bad.

I’ve lost about 20 pounds since I discovered my allergies which is a pretty good thing considering I was a heavy girl for most of my life (when you are a shorty like me, extra pounds really do add up!) Today, I went shopping for pants as most of mine are sagging off of me (the skater-boy outta Compton look isn’t really working for me here at work). I tried on a size 6 which has been my new size since reducing down from a size 10 two years ago.. Too big. Went down to a 4. Still a little on the MC Hammer side of things.. SIZE 2! Gads.. I used to loathe the lithe little modern dancers from my highschool who would come in to the retail clothing shop I worked at.

I remember one of my university friends who was quite thin always getting upset because people told her to eat more and gain weight. I can really sympathize with her now. I guess the pants are on the other leg for me now.
