This blog is impermanent. Ommmmm. This blog is impermanent.

I’m a pretty conscientious gal. Probably overly so. I cough into my sleeve to avoid spreading germs. I’m a bit of a germaphobe myself so imagine my HORROR when I see that this dearly cherished blog is spreading digital viruses from my good name into the Buddhablogosphere potentially wreaking bad karma all over everyone’s digital experiences.

Cough Cough Cough.

I was hit with a nasty virus. I may have been a bit too sloppy with some spread open files. Maybe I played a little too fast and loose in letting my permissions slide. Maybe some sexy comment about Richard Gere caused me such indignity.

Thankfully there are experts out there to save folks like me from suffering from a byte-ridden social disease and dearĀ Nathan Briggs was able to give my blog the medicine it needed to heal it up just right. He was a dream to work with and provided me with the most Zen-like of patience in getting me back up and running in no time.

With all negative situations come the ability for something positive to come from it and I’m looking at this little experience as a crash (get it – CRASH) course in remaining calm, realizing that nothing is permanent (although Nathan was thankfully able to reanimate this blog) and that I’m now being more proactive in being a decent web citizen in keeping my WordPress installs up to date and enforcing a bit more security on this old site.

So I’m back. Sorry if I infected you. I promise to keep it clean over here from now on.

I’m just happy we can fraternize again… safely, of course!

JSYK, there is no sexy comment about Richard that is not worth indignity. Just sayin’ – as you kids would say….

Hi Tanya – My sites and Sumeru e-mail got hacked a while back too. Turns out it was targeted and malicious. Not everybody likes Buddhists. Very sad, but very true. I’d be curious to know the details of your crash…
