I’m baaack!
Well I’m back with a lot more head space free to practice, study and sit…. Oh and blog. I’ve missed blogging and reading many of the great Buddhablogs, but I must admit that the break has been good and a practice in itself.
So I’m married now and it’s another one of the vows I’ve added to my repertoire. It’s interesting how there’s so much talk of renunciation when one takes Buddhist precepts and the overlap that this philosophy has with the vows I made to my husband. I’ve renounced the old addictions, habits and destructive emotions and am now committing myself to honesty, working with obstacles and practicing patience within our marriage.
Really at the end of the day, not much has changed. That’s the beautiful part. There’s no need for monogrammed matching towels celebrating out union. We were already joined.
We all are already joined.
