Mind Hacks: Mind and brain disorder encyclopedia now free online
I rarely speak about my fascination with brains and psychology on this blog. It’s an odd little blog which has become punkrock Buddha-centric and less about me over the time I’ve spent with it.
O.K.- Back to the grey matter at hand…
I’m a Poli Sci grad (Honors – International Relations) and burnt myself out on MidEast politics. It was the ideal time to study and research… with that whole “Gulf War” going on but I was more into political philosophy and political psychology. To fulfill my degree requirements, I needed courses outside of my program and thus entered the psychology courses which were a breath of fresh air to me in comparison to the military history class and model UN games.
There are times where I wish I would have seen how my love for neurochem, stories of men with railroad ties embedded into their skulls and tales of mood disorders I could never pronounce would have been an interesting path to have followed.
Again, back to the grey matter at hand.. the Mind Hacks blog always DELIGHTS me and this link from their site to the free Dana Guide to Brain Health is bringing cheer to my otherwise weird day.
