Well I’m completely flabbergasted! Seems like I’ve become the Helen Mirren of the Buddhablogoshere this year!

The nominees for the 2nd Annual 2007 Blogisattva Awards have been announced and yours truly has made it onto the list- nominated in the categories of “Best New Blog 2006″ and “Best Achievement in Clean, Straightforward, Unaffected Design” (which comes on the heels of the decision to do a design-overhaul in the near future).

Wow. I must say that it is humbling to be on this list.

This blog came out of awkwardness and self-consciousness at putting ‘my-non-self’ out there for you to read. It’s been an amalgamation of Buddhist thoughts and Samsaric desires. It’s kept friends and family up to date on my comings and goings and has introduced me to many new digital dharma friends both local, national and international. These realizations came from an introspective look at “Why I blog” and “Why I blog about Buddhism”.

This blog is like me, in transition, transitory and impermanent. Now I need a ghost-writer for my acceptance speech.. Any takers?!
