Water Water Everywhere- but not a fish to fish…

Coming from the East Coast of Canada, I’ve experienced the decline of fish stocks for many years. People have protested, lobbied, complained, conducted studies and surveys but little change has been made to the methods used in plucking fish from the waters. Little consideration had been given to the future.

Last week, a news report was released warning that if we continue overfishing, there will not be any fish left in 50 years.

I caught a clip on The Hour a few nights ago featuring an interview with David Suzuki and as happy as I am to see move coverage given to environmental issues, citizens must be educated on how to make effective changes. Oh wait, yeah- the One Tonne Challenge was scrapped. I guess informing people of how to be effective in reducing pollution can be hazardous to the government’s health….
