Buddhist funerals

Does anyone have any information on businesses or individuals who conduct Buddhist funerals either in Montreal or the East Coast of Canada?

(I guess this seems like a strange question to ask out of the blue and will especially seem strange for those who read my Blog becasue you are a co-worker of mine or you were searching for ‘pugs’, ‘punk rock’ or ‘songs to strip to’…)

I ask this because I give it thought sometimes. Buddhists think about these kinds of things. It’s not morbid. It’s not that I’m some brooding goth. I’m facing the nature of reality. Sometimes it’s a difficult thing to do.

My grandmother was buddhist and part of the community in the pagoda on Van Horne close to metro Plamondon.

When she died, she had a buddhist funeral. The buddhist ceremonies took place in a funeral home, open casket.

I wouldn’t call it a business. The only business is the funeral home and the coffin.

After all that was done, she was cremated and now her ashes rest in peace in a Temple on a moutain way north of Montreal.
