Is it just me or is there a lot of barking going on???

Everytime I turn on the TV I’m hearing dogs barking and I think I’m turning into what the secret behind this is.
My dog responds to any dog barking, whether it be in an ad for vodka coolers, Preperation H, banks, septic tanks, flea medicine… A woof elicits a freak out on his behalf. In turn, this causes a reverse Pavlovian reaction in me where I curse the TV ad causing the mayhem – BUT believe me- I remember the product they are advertising!!!
Am I alone in this???

I have the same thing happen when there are birds chirping on TV. My two budgies chirp along. They do the same when they hear the birds in the yard. To please them I leave the tv on Animal Planet when I am gone.
