I have reading ADD

I have a zillion books on the go right now. Two that are standing out right now are several classics that I am only starting to discover:

Jon Kabat-Zinn’s “Full Catastrophe Living
Jack Kornfield’s “A Path With Heart”

I think there needs to be a chapter in “Hooked- Buddhist Writings on Greed, Desire and the Urge to Consume” dedicated to those who are addicted to purchasing Dharma books!

I hear ya…I am addicted to buying design books – in fact I have about 10 new books from the past few months that I haven’t even begun to sink into (you’ll recall the “inactivist” novel you leant me, which I was quite inactive in reading.) I think books can often be seen as an extension of our identities – who we are, or moreover, who we WANT to be. They offer an opportunity to further our knowledge, creativity, awareness, as well as being sexy design-art objects. However, when I look at my dozen great reads sitting closed on the coffee table I wonder what is stopping me from opening them and diving in? Perhaps I should go buy a book on that.
