Blue Met – 2006

I just received the programme for the 8th annual Blue Met Literary Festival, in Montreal from April 5-9th and I am super excited to catch some of the events this year. Of note:

- “Out of Russia”- Conversations with Russian authors as well as those who have published works on Russian themes

- Launch of Jon Paul Fiorentino’s new book “The Theory of the Loser Class’

- Camilla Gibb speaking on the topic is the pen “Mightier Than the Sword” and also givinga reading in the afternoon on the same panel as Yann Martel

- Book Slam at Divan Orange – Drinks and words – 2 of my favorite things!

- “The City of Food”- a panel discussion to celebrate those writers who participated in the March issue of Gourmet magazine which focused on Montreal.

I LOVE all of the festivals that Montreal has to offer.

    Hi,

Stumbled upon your site and was happy to see you recommend our book slam.

Your choice of events uncannily matches what I’m covering in UKULA’s literature pages. We’ve just interviewed Camilla Gibb and I’ve requested interviews with Taras Grescoe, Jon Paul Fiorentino and James Meek at the festival.

Come and say hello on Wednesday.
